  • the feed contains one or more items that are extracted from other feeds or aggregated using feed aggregation, feed filtering or feed combining services
  • the feed serves any other content that in our opinion is not tolerable
  • the feed contains less than five items.

HowTo submit a webfeed (Feedburner, RSS, ATOM and RDF)

 1. Check if the URL of the webfeed URL points to a valid feed. You can Validate the feed online @ http://www.feedvalidator.org/
     You must Fix "warnings" given by the validator mentioned because warnings may cause Feeds4all not able to folow the feed.

 2. URL of the webfeed

 3. Pick a category

 4. Click the Submit button

 5. Show your visitors that your webfeed was submitted to Feeds4all

In order to show that you did submit your webfeed to Feeds4all please place a Feeds4all link or banner on your site

Link code:

<a href="http://www.feeds4all.nl" alt="Webfeed submitted to Feeds4all" title="Webfeed submitted to
 Feeds4all">http://www.feeds4all.nl</a>

Banner code:
<a href="http://www.feeds4all.nl">
<img src="http://www.feeds4all.nl/images/feeds4all_bannernl.gif" width="80" height="15"
alt="Webfeed (RSS/ATOM/RDF) submitted to http://www.feeds4all.nl" border="0">
</a>

The banner code renders a Feeds4all clickable banner (80px x 15 px) that will appear on your website.

Feeds in our database are updated at non-predictable moments.
A click on the Feeds4all banner guides your visitors to Feeds4all and will schedule an update of your webfeed content as soon as possible.

 6. Make sure that your webfeed can be discovered

Include the following tag in the header of your pages containing a webfeed or webfeed link

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="[Feed title]" href="[Feed URL]" />
This tag is used by several browsers and spiders including ours.

Some facts:
- The most recent updated feeds will always be placed on top of the (sub)directorie lists.
- Our searching algorithm uses the time-of-update as a parameter for ranking the search results.

* N.B. Several technologies are used to compose a webfeed. The technical specifications for webfeeds are standardized.
Feeds4all supports webfeeds that comply to RSS 0.9, RSS 1.0 and RSS 2.0 (RSS Really Simple Syndication), ATOM and RDF.
